ROCKSHOP CAMPS

ROCKSHOP CAMP (10-12 yrs)

July 6-10 (M-F) 11:00 - 2:00
Ages: 10-12*
Cost: $325 (Early Bird - $310 - until March 15)

A FUN band camp for kids' learning and performing together, with age-appropriate songs and professional guidance. We're looking for Singers, Guitarists, Bassists, Piano/Keyboards and Drummers for this engaging youth rock band experience! Learn lively pop and rock repertoire using current and classic songs. This half-day camp packs a lot in, allowing students to learn new music together, improve their listening skills, work in a group, learn how to choose suitable music and have a great time! These highly focused days provide in-depth rehearsals to discover how much we can understand and improve our musicianship in one week! The last day of camp ends with a performance for families.

*A minimum of one season of lessons is recommended.

We're looking for Singers, Guitarists, Bassists, Piano/Keyboards and Drummers for this engaging youth rock band experience! Running in tandem with our Triple Threat camp, this Rockshop Camp will be the supporting band for the Beatles musical, Neverland (see Triple Threat Musical Theatre camp below!)

This half-day camp packs a lot in, allowing students to learn new music together, improve their listening skills, work in a group, learn how to choose suitable music and have a great time! These highly focused days provide in-depth rehearsals to discover how much we can understand and improve our musicianship in one week! The last day of camp ends with a performance for families.

*Extended hours until 3:30 will be necessary on Thursday and Friday.

MUSICAL THEATRE CAMPS

TRIPLE-THREAT CAMP (9-12 yrs)*

July 13-17 (M-F) 9:00-3:30

Ages: 9-12*
Cost: $450 (Early Bird - $425 - until March 15)

Sing! Dance! Act! Combining an original, modernized Peter Pan script and a Beatles music score, we'll sing, dance and act our way through the week, experiencing the true "Triple Threat" that is a musical theatre performer. Within this safe place to explore, create, and make friends, this workshop focuses on participants' artistic process and creative input. The last day of camp ends with a performance for families, showcasing the campers' week of hard work and fun!

*Ability to consistently match pitch is required for this camp. An assessment may be requested.

TRIPLE-THREAT CAMP (6-8 yrs)

July 20-24 (M-F) 9:00-3:30
Show: Yellow Brick Road
Ages: 6-8
Cost: $450 (Early Bird - $425 - until March 15)

With this mash-up of classic kids' musicals including Annie, Oliver, Wizard of Oz and Sound of Music , we'll sing, dance and act our way through the week, experiencing the true "Triple Threat" that is a musical theatre performer. This workshop focuses on participants' artistic process and creative input within a safe place to explore, create, and make friends. Making props and costumes, painting sets and playing at the park are all part of daily activities.The last day of camp ends with a performance for families. Come see the results of our campers' hard work toward creating a fantastic show!

TEEN MUSICAL THEATRE SUMMER BLAST! (13-17 yrs)

July 6-10 (M-F) 11:00-2:00
Ages: 13-17
Cost: $340 (Early Bird $320 until March 15)

Join NYC and touring Broadway Performer, Tara Heal, for this enriching week of musical theatre! Tara will guide the budding and motivated teen performer to feel comfortable with solo singing, acting through song, audition technique, cold readings/scene work with short scenes from well-known musicals, ensemble singing, tips for nerves, preparing the mind and body, and the chance to practice picking up movement/ dance choreography in the Musical Theatre style.

Students come prepared with a musical theatre audition song that they know (melody and lyrics) that they are ready to practice in mini private coachings with Tara and accompanist, work up to sharing it in a masterclass setting with peers, and finally perform at the Friday showcase for family and friends alongside a group musical number!

KEYBOARD CLIMBERS PIANO CAMP (6-13 yrs)

July 27-31 (M-F) 9:00-3:30
Ages: 6-13 (ages grouped within the camp: Mini 6-7, Midi 8-10, Max 11-13)

This piano-focused summer camp prepares kids to 'scale' the next musical mountain! Campers will learn valuable collaboration, leadership skills, piano musicianship, and basic music theory. Specially designed to cater to all skill levels and a wide range of ages, this camp guarantees students a lively week of music-making and summer fun! The last day of camp ends with a performance for families.

Camp leaders Mary Irwin and Isabella Jubb lead this lively summer camp. Their teaching expertise will guide group and individual piano play, traditional camp activities, and outdoor time.

Join us for this delightful half day camp where your little one will sing, dance, play musical games, explore a variety of instruments and make some of their own! Making music with new friends and playing outdoors at nearby Redfern Park is sure to make this a memorable week of summer camp!
