At South Island Studio, our purpose is to nurture well-being through connection, creativity and self-expression. We welcome you into a space where you are cared for and respected for the journey that you are on. Bring us your hopes, questions and musical goals. We’ll come alongside and help you to realize them.
Come Jam With Us! Our experienced music teachers are dedicated to mentoring new and advancing musicians. We offer group lessons as well as private lessons in Voice, Drums, Keyboard/Piano and Bass/Guitar.
Music Lesson Registration is open for new 2024-25 school year students.
We have private lessons on Piano, Voice, Guitar, Drums, Bass Guitar and Flute.
Group classes for kids aged 6 months to 10 years in our Baby Beats, Toddler Tunes, Wee Musicians, Amazing Musical Playground, Studio Keys and Studio Singers.

Summer Family Music class for families with siblings or anyone who wants to have some musical fun outdoors! This program runs on Thursday mornings in July and August.
This class will be an active musical experience that is engaging for children ages 6 months to 5 years. We will sing a variety of songs, play musical games and explore instrument activities that are fun and adaptable for babies, toddlers and young children.
All you need is a picnic blanket, sunscreen, and clothes you can move and groove in! We'll provide the instruments, fun, and bubbles!

*Cost: 4-Class Punch Card - $50 ($12.50/class/child)

Location: Redfern Park
**This is a parented class; accompanying grownups, please be prepared to participate!

We use Groove Essentials - a skill-building system that starts with the basics, then moves to new styles, helping students build new skills quickly.
At South Island Studio, we believe everyone can sing. Singers of all ages, we'll guide you to sing in a way that is healthy and authentically you.
Using techniques and lesson plans developed by the Royal Conservatory of Music, we blend traditional rudiments with modern practicality.
We use contemporary music to teach the skills required to plays guitar and bass guitar chords, melodies, lead solos and accompaniment.
At South Island Studio, we offer some great band camps and workshops throughout the year. Register early as classes fill up quickly!
These music lessons are individually tailored for children or adults and take place once a week for a 30 or 60 minute block.
At South Island Studio, we tailor our lessons to you and your learning style. Together, we'll play songs, practice the foundational skills, share our experiences, challenge limits, and we'll have a blast doing it!
Thank you so much for the RockShop Band Camp! You and Christian did an amazing job. Our son learned so much and has been composing madly at home ever since. We really appreciated knowing that he was in a fun and supportive place. It was also fantastic for him to be exposed to playing in a group while having to accompany singers -- different skills than solo lessons. Which we should also thank you for -- his individual piano lessons with Xheni are terrific! She is so talented, kind and encouraging. Her enthusiasm has given him confidence and joy in his playing. I don't know if you know, but our son Vaughn got a bass for graduating high school last year, and he moved to London UK in October to join a trio. They toured Europe opening for Les Claypool this spring and right now are touring with him on a short tour in the U.S. Over the next few days they are playing NY, NJ, etc etc - check it out - Hotthedd.
We can't thank you enough for the music lessons. Leo still plays piano and guitar, and sings every day - he is currently into Frank Sinatra. Before that it was "I Blame Coco".

In the past few months of taking lessons with Eryn, I have already seen my voice transform. Beyond being friendly and fun, she is extremely perceptive and has a really natural musicality.
