Jayda holds a Bachelor's of Music in performance from the University of Victoria where she studied with Pamela Highbaugh Aloni. She has been a member of the University of Victoria Symphony Orchestra and has acted as principal cellist of the Greater Victoria Youth Orchestra, as well as performing with various chamber groups. She is passionate about many genres of music and is always trying to broaden her horizons.
Her main teaching goals are to foster students' curiosity and love for music through guided exploration and creative self-expression. Above all, she believes music should be fun and rewarding, and hopes to inspire her students to develop a lifelong love for playing.
