This band camp is a 10 week session that runs in the fall and in the spring. Students work with a professional musician using clear materials and music to learn pop and rock songs from the last 30 years. We cover a variety of styles to give students the opportunity to broaden their tastes.
The 10 week session culminates with a performance at our Winter or Spring concert. Great for students to improve their musicianship, heighten listening skills and put all their hard practice to good use.
Students of the guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and voice are welcome. Early registration is recommended as classes fill up quickly! Ages 10 – 17

Songwriting workshops delve into the tools to be creative as a writer. These one or two day classes break things down into manageable tasks the give students new insight into the particular theme of the class.
Some ongoing topics are lyric writing, blues fingerstyle, Leonard Cohen analysis, the Beatles at work, artistic pop.
We’re offering a seminar for students to get together to practice playing in a group. The classes will focus on learning songs and exploring improvising within those songs. Through improvising we cover rhythmic, scalar and philosophical approaches to expressing ones self on the instrument and in the moment.
Acoustic, electric and bass guitar are welcomed, and with an ear to having fun, our aim will be to get comfortable jamming and performing together!
